2012 Honda CR-Z
The 2012 Honda CR-Z debuted with a function of design change, a new black fabric seat becomes an option on cars with the Black Pearl colored glass exterior, replacing the standard silver mesh sports seats. The Honda CR-Z is available in two models – the well-equipped CR-Z and feature-rich CR-Z EX. A six-speed manual transmission is standard and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) is available. Standard features on the CR-Z include Vehicle Stability Assist, a system for AM / FM / CD / USB audio system with six speakers, automatic climate control, power windows and locks, remote keyless entry, cruise control, and more again .
The Honda CR-Z hybrid powertrain is a unique variant of the original Honda’s IMA technology, which originally debuted on the 2000 Honda Insight, the first hybrid vehicle available for sale in North America. The system uses a four-cylinder 16-valve overhead camshaft with an “intelligent” variable valve timing and electronic control (i-VTEC) that receives the extra power integrated motor assist (IMA) DC brushless electric motor . The system offers a combined total of 122 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 128 lb-ft. of torque at 1000-1750 rpm (123 lb-ft. 1000 to 2000 models with CVT).
